HIGHROAD / VEHICLE TYPE
Luxury/exotic car shipping
Luxury and exotic car shipping requires a review of clearance, dimensions, controls, loading equipment, and coverage. Discuss enclosed transport and the actual handling plan before booking.

What matters beyond the vehicle’s price?
Ground clearance and loading suitability are practical starting points. Low front splitters, wide bodywork, large wheels, and specialty suspension can affect the approach needed. A high-value SUV and a lowered supercar should not receive identical loading assumptions.
Enclosed transport can add shelter, but it does not automatically include a liftgate, a particular securing method, or sufficient coverage for every vehicle. Ask which equipment is proposed and how it fits your car. Do not assume a “premium” label answers those questions.
What details help us assess your request?
Provide the exact model, year, operational condition, clearance, modifications, and route. Describe any special starting, parking, lift-system, or alarm instructions without sending account credentials.
- Mention aftermarket aero parts or changed dimensions.
- Explain dealership release status and receiving hours.
- Ask how handling requirements and coverage are documented.
What should the enclosed or specialty quote confirm?
Confirm the transport method, loading suitability, pickup window, delivery estimate, included work, and payment/cancellation terms. Review cargo coverage limits and exclusions for your specific vehicle, rather than assuming that a general insured statement is enough.
For a purchase or event, give the vehicle’s ready date and the date someone can receive it. Equipment and capacity must be checked for the route; requesting enclosure does not by itself reserve a suitable trailer.
How should I prepare an exotic or high-value vehicle?
Document the exterior, wheels, low bodywork, and visible existing damage. Remove loose items, provide approved keys, and explain essential controls through the handoff process. Follow vehicle-manufacturer and carrier instructions where relevant. Do not disable systems or alter suspension settings based on generic advice alone.
A practical planning example
For an exotic car purchased in Los Angeles and delivered to Miami, confirm dealer release, low-clearance loading, and the destination’s truck access. A scheduled buyer flight does not establish when the vehicle will arrive.
This is a planning example, not a scheduled route or a completed Highroad shipment.
What makes luxury or exotic transport different from a standard-car request?
The important differences are often clearance, dimensions, controls, finish, and value. The badge alone does not identify the correct equipment. Give the exact model, modifications, ground clearance, and any manufacturer handling instructions. Explain what protection you want and why.
A low front splitter, wide body kit, or fragile carbon-fiber component can matter at loading. A luxury SUV may instead need a size assessment. We clarify the requirements during the callback before discussing a transport arrangement; do not assume every expensive vehicle has identical needs.
Can a lowered sports car be loaded without scraping?
The loading approach needs review; no website label can guarantee clearance. Explain the lowest fixed point, any adjustable suspension, and whether the owner’s instructions allow it to be raised for loading. Ask about ramp geometry or lift equipment for the actual trailer.
Also describe access from the vehicle’s current location. A steep driveway in Los Angeles or an underground garage in Miami can present a problem before the car reaches the truck. Separate any recovery or local transfer needs from the long-distance shipment.
Will my exotic car stay on one enclosed truck?
Ask explicitly about the proposed transport legs and any planned transfer. Enclosed shipping does not automatically establish that one trailer or one driver will handle every part. Confirm the equipment and handling plan in writing, especially if the shipment includes a terminal or ocean leg.
Do not equate a request for white-glove handling with a defined service specification. State the concrete requirements: sheltered equipment, clearance-sensitive loading, authorized handoffs, condition records, or a particular receiving window. Ask which can actually be accepted.
What should a dealer provide before pickup?
Confirm the vehicle is paid for and released, keys are available, and a dealership contact can attend the inspection. Provide collection hours, appointment requirements, and any preparation or operating instructions. Ask the dealer to disclose faults, warning messages, and installed accessories.
For a Miami-to-Las Vegas purchase, agree on who records condition at pickup and who receives the vehicle. A buyer who has not seen the car should request seller documentation before transport; the transport inspection is not a mechanical inspection or an assessment of the sale.
How should I plan delivery if I will be away?
Nominate an authorized receiving person and confirm their availability. Do not assume the car can be left unattended or stored until you return. Discuss any storage requirement before booking and establish whether it is available and separately priced.
Allow time for the receiving inspection and any handling instructions. If your home is inside a gated community in Palm Beach or a restricted building in New York, disclose the entry process. A high-value vehicle still needs a safe, legal place for truck access.
What belongs in a luxury or exotic shipping quote?
Include the exact vehicle, route, dates, clearance, dimensions if modified, desired trailer protection, and handoff access. Ask about coverage, exclusions, price scope, payment, cancellation, and schedule changes. Do not compare an open estimate with an enclosed quote as if they describe the same service.
Use the enclosed transport page for equipment questions and the cost guide for quote terms. We do not publish an invented insurance limit, dedicated fleet, or manufacturer approval; suitability is confirmed for the actual request.
Luxury/exotic car shipping: common questions
Is a liftgate guaranteed?
No. Confirm the actual loading equipment and its suitability for the vehicle before accepting the transport option.
Can an exotic car use open transport?
Discuss the trade-offs and your vehicle’s handling needs. Enclosure may be preferred, but the offered method needs review.
Should I send my vehicle-app password?
No. Do not send passwords or account credentials through the quote form. Confirm any necessary handoff procedure separately.
